Clinical Supervision
Sometimes it can feel really overwhelming and isolating when you're working as a therapist or when you're navigating your own private practice. My wish is to be able to support other therapists, the wellbeing of their clients, and to help create a self-sustainable practice.
I have over seven years of experience working as a counsellor and a psychotherapist in both the non-profit sector and private practice settings. I meet all the requirements for clinical supervision with the CRPO and I have completed a 36hr course titled The Empowered Supervisor.
I am especially interested in supporting newer BIPOC and/or queer, non-binary, and trans therapists who are thinking about starting their own private practice.
I work from an intersectional, anti-oppressive, and trauma-informed framework that prioritizes non-pathologizing approaches. I acknowledge the inherent power dynamics involved in clinical supervision and I try to redistribute power by prioritizing collaboration, a sense of safety, transparency, trust, choice, and empowerment within the working relationship.
I would love to co-create a warm and safer environment where supervisees feel heard, understood, and encouraged to take on an active role in their learning and to engage in honest and open discussions with me. I love being curious and I'm committed to providing guidance and feedback without bulldozing or taking on the role of the expert.
If this aligns with what you're looking for from a psychotherapy supervisor, please don't hesitate to reach out to schedule a free 30min consultation to see if we are a good fit!
